Christmas Baking: Cookies and Gingerbread

Christmas may very well be my favorite holiday of the year.  There’s the tree and decorations, outdoor lights, music, and of course, baking.  Each year I set out to make an assortment of Christmas cookies usually consisting of pecan fingers, some sort of chocolate chip, and decorated sugar cookies with the two men in my life – my son and husband.

This past year I had a bit more time on my hands and decided to adventure with some new Christmas creations.  I made a batch of pinwheel cookies, a batch of angel wing cinnamon cookies and of course, we still made our annual Christmas cut-out sugar cookies.

I also made a Gingerbread House and cookie tree.

How was your Christmas?  Care to share your recipes and pictures?  I’d love to see them!
