Good morning bakers!
I’m very excited to share my journey with you in all things baking. I’ve not written a blog before but thought, hey why not give it a shot. I’ll be myself and share my adventure of baking with the world (or the few followers that I may inherent over time) to document and pursue my goal of becoming more than just a part-time baker.
My real quest is like everyone else, to enjoy life doing what I love. And for me, that is baking. Hopefully this quest can morph into something else, possibly starting and owning my own successful bakery. But for today, I am looking to document the baked goods I create, find encouragement along the way, and if I’m truly lucky, help inspire other bakers to do the same.
A goal is not a true goal until it is stated out loud. My goal is to get out of my comfort zone to bake items that I have never attempted. I’m talking breads from scratch, candies, cookies, pies and cakes with ingredients I have yet to discover and pastries from around the globe. I’m going to take a cue from “Julie and Julia” and attempt to bake my way through a cookbook. I’ve spent some time researching and I’ve chosen “Baking: From My Home to Yours” by Dorie Greenspan.
The book has yet to arrive so in the meantime, if any of you have ideas of baked goods you’d think I should attempt, please send me a comment. I’d love to hear your thoughts.
Thanks and Happy Baking!
